Scrapbooking+Art+New Starts

I have loved being home for this last week. Even though I had to go on the plane all by myself with three kids five and under. It turned out to be better then I had anticipated. Non the less not my favorite thing to do in the world. It all seemed worth it once I stepped off the plane and headed for the baggage claim and realized I was in Salt Lake and immediately felt like crying what a baby.

I love being around my family basically cause all we do is create all day long in between taking care of our kids who run our lives. We are creating an esty site for us girls to do as a side job and fun. We have come up with a couple great names but we will see what we will come up with soon. We are all going to sell things we create. Like Michelle will sell her art and I will sell all sorts of funny things. Scrapbook cards to frames that are food trays painted really funky. Mom is going to sell her quilts. Heidi might sell quilts and clothing. I don't know what Meg will sell since we still haven't told her since its a new idea and she wasn't able to come out on this trip. She is creative and will come up with something great. I think Jane might do art or something.

I am going to attempt to create a quilt today we will see what it will turn out like. I really want to make a retro quilt. I love retro. I am not into the old grandma kind. I found this great site called www.fatquartershop.com . I googled it under retro quilting patterns and Michael Millers stuff came up. I think its Modda stuff. I really like it. Its so fun and colorful. Which I am always loving color. I love there letter fabric and also there Jack and Jill stuff.

We did an art class with my dad on Friday. It was so much fun to draw and learn about that stuff. Heidi, Michelle and I all painted flowers. It was fun. I think I have a lot of confidence and think things look easier then they really are. I love trying new things all of the time though. Its so fun to paint cause even if you mess up other people don't know or you can just say you wanted it that way since you are the artist you are always correct. I loved it!

Rachel, it was so fun seeing you and your boys in SLC this week! Our little Jacob arrived Thursday night, and we are proud parents!
