80/20

 Eating Raw is great!

But I can't do it totally so I think I am going to be content to eat 80 percent of the time raw and the 20 percent not raw. I still need to have chicken every once and a while and grains that aren't just soaked. The more I have thought about it and tried it, it was a bigger job than I anticipated. So I think this is something I can manage and not feel guilty. Still would love more recipes though. I loved all your helpful hints. It was also nice to know others were working hard at this as well.

I find for breakfast and lunch I can do it and my 10 and 2pm snacks. But the five- dinner time. I need to eat more what the family is eating. I don't always have the time and energy. We only have meat like 2-sometimes 3 times a week. those are lean meats. Then do whole grains. I laugh every time I make something they like  and  then find a way to make it healthier. Chris says something to the effect of you put your touch on it. Meaning I made it healthy and now it might not taste as well. I will have to get my granola bars on here they are healthier and yummy!

So 80/20 it is for me. Its something I can live with and stay healthy. Feels good and makes me happy.

Agree. We only eat mean like 1-2 a week as well. Only whole grains and lots of fruits and veggies. My kids always say thing like "hey, these really do taste like graham crackers!" When something tastes like it's supposed to. I got a great cookbook of Amazon, "A World of Wisdom." All her recipes are super easy. Also do you subscribe to the 6'clock scramble? I get a lot of recipes from there that I love and so do my kids. You are brave going raw though. I started with omitting some meat and doubling our veggies, I'm not sure I know enough to go raw! That's amazing. Also, it's amazing how long this comment is. Glad I popped in on ya! I'll check back for some tips.

Ha ha! I think I put my "touch" into meals too (though I'm not even healthy...I just don't make it right.)

Don't you know that you shouldn't eat raw meat. I didn't know you were such a carnivore. I hope you don't drink the blood out of the meat package too. ha ha ha what a great "blessing" raw meat is...

Proud of you. I agree the breakfast and lunch thing if easy it is the dinner I struggle with.

Have you tried buckwheat? It is a yummy breakfast.

I heard that 80/20 is the best way to go anyways. Man, that would really hard to do all raw...good job, though! Keep up the good work! Love ya! :)
