Christopher is addicted to art. He will sit and draw for hours. He has won awards and competitions at school, he is just getting really good. One Sunday he drew this castle in no time. I loved it.
What I also love is that Ethan is starting to join him. He is drawing up a storm and making these books. Last week he even helped Matthew put a book together it was a whole two pages long. Hey, that's a start right.
It just brings back so many memories of my family growing up. And having Saturdays were we would all draw and paint with Dad. I love creating and I know I get it from him. I am so glad that my kids are loving it as well.
Jackson art lately has been on my walls with make-up and crayons. So we are going to try and get his creativity back on paper.

I love that last line...I love that you can joke about it and realize that he was just "being creative." What a good mom.
Clayton loves art as well. He will pass hours by creating things.
beautiful tribute to your artistic boys, and to you as a mother in not getting upset over things.
You've got quite the little artist on your hands! When do you guys move?
that is so cool! i was just reading an article in my byu alumni magazine about mothers using their "education" experience in the home & look at you! that will bless their lives forever.
way to go boys. I'm sure the art helped the house sell right? Way to go Christopher. NO WONDER they've been sidewalk chalking on our driveway as they have. I LOVE IT!
As I sit reading your post Abbie is sitting by me with paper and pens creating some very excellent birthday party invitations (no need to burst her bubble and let her know that the invites for tomorrow's party went out two weeks ago). I love kid art! How wonderful that your boys have been lucky enough to inherit the Durham creativity gene!!
I hope you guys do decide to travel through Austin this summer!!
