Nervous Sick!

So yep I am sick. Not fun to be sick any more. Like the good old days when Mom would take care of me and let me sleep on the couch all day, bring me food, I would watch T.V. I go crazy sitting and watching T.V. for longer then a show during the day. I want to sit and not think that is for sure. The kids want me to be healthy and make pancakes(which I did!) Then luckily Chris cleaned them up and I napped. I hate that I missed my kids in Nursery today. They are so awesome. I really hate that I missed sacrament. There are those weeks that you just can't wait to take it and today I was feeling that way. Jackson is getting surgery on Thursday. He has a hydrocele (its were fluid is building up beside his little man part and they have to go close it up.) The kid doesn't even complain about a thing and we had to do surgery. It was so weird I took him in for a ear infection check up and the next thing I new I was going to see a Urologist that week to see if he needed surgery. And sure enough he did. I hate that they have to put him under for it. I just think he is pretty young and I know it will go well at least the way they talk about this surgery its pretty routine. In my opinion its still my little guy going in there were they have a knife. And I am suppose to be calm. I should be better at this with Chris being a Doctor and doing stuff like this to people all the time but I think that is what is making me a little nervous. I hear of stuff going wrong here and there. So that is where I am at, A nervous wreck inside. And I know all the right answers to say to make you think its going to be okay. Well it better. That's all I have to say about that. I will let ya know how it all goes. We go in early Thursday morning and I hope to be home by noon or so. Prays would be awesome!!!

Poor little thing! He's such a good baby. We'll pray for him on Thursday. Let me know if I can take your kids for you sometime; I would love to!

Sorry you aren't feeling well! I know how you feel about having a little guy go under anesthesia and have surgery. It's scary for sure, even though you know it will be for their best good and that the risks are low. Zack had his tonsils and adenoids taken out when he was three and the whole thing not just scared me, but made me feel so guilty because he had no idea what he was in for. Everything went well and I'm so glad that we had the procedure done, and I'm sure you guys will be too for Jackson. Good luck!

I can't stand to worry about my kids. It's so hard when you can't fix it. Don't worry, you are a good and faithful woman. I know your prayers get answered. We will pray, too. Also, sick Mommy stinks. I'm sick, too. Scarlet fever. I know, what?????? Who gets scarlet fever. I guess we do.

Oh, bummer Rach. Random for Jackson? Peter was put under last week for an MRI and I was so glad. They gassed him before they even put in his IV which was so nice! I hope they do that for you. It was less traumatizing that the regular doctor visits! Of all your babies he'll probably handle everything with a smile. I hope you at least feel a little better by Thursday for the ordeal. Good luck, we love you guys! p.s. i love that you're posting so often...

Clayton had to have a hydrocele repair when he was 18 monnths old. I was a nervous wreck as well. He was a bit subdued
when the surgery was over for about 1 hour, then by the time we got home (4 hours post surger) we were trying to keep him still. He was bouncing off the walls. I wish I recovered from surgery like that. I hope you're experience is as good as ours!

Rachel, sorry you are sick! Just wanted to let you know that our little guy had the same thing and after his surgery he came home and jumped on the trampoline and rode bikes like nothing even happened. I'm sure all will go well! Glad to get the updates

I've done the baby surgery thing a few times and it is not fun. It's much worse for the mommy! Your little one will get over it a lot quicker than you- and remember a lot less. You will both be in our prayers! Lots of love.

I know what this is like. This may sound silly but the hardest part is not giving them food. Spencer surgery was delayed and he was so hungry. Good luck and let me know if you need anything. Besides a haircut.
