Myrtle Beach

This was a fun trip. Chris had a poster to present at a conference in Myrtle beach only 3 1/2 hours away. So of course me and the kids had to come. It was so much fun. We had this awesome place that we got last minute in North Myrtle Beach. The kids loved it. They each got there own Queen size bed and a flat screen in each of their rooms plus each had its own bathroom. We loved having our own room and bathroom as well. Loved the views and the sound of the ocean. I am pretty sure Chris and I will always be super happy at a beach. Why don't we try living by the beach we always ask our selves. I think if we do then the thing we love gets ruined by real life.

We had fun playing in the ocean. The Condo had this fountain that the kids could play in and of course Jack-Jack wanted to play with the drinking fountain. We laughed cause it was so Jackson. He thought he was so cool for figuring that thing out. Christopher and Ethan loved playing in the lazy river. I was glad there was almost no one else there so they could be as crazy as they wanted to be. Those two can be so funny together.

This is the poster Chris won 2nd place in. Christopher was sure he wanted to spend his cash prize on his go cart that he loves to talk about. I love that kid. I don't know about kids these days and there super high priced wants right now. I swear when I was his age I wasn't getting hundred dollar gifts. So what do we do? Any way...

Well, Myrtle beach is home of the mini golf. So of course we had to mini golf and the kids loved it. There were like a dozen different ones. So we finally decided on the airplane course. I thought it turned out to be a great decision Jackson just kept running off to go and see the planes from different angles. That kid is obsessed with airplanes and cars. So cute. It totally reminds me of Christopher and how fun that was.

We had a blast in the waves. Chris bought this boogie board. And I thought of our friends the browns and their boogie board and the massive wart like thing theirs created and wondered. Will ours be so lucky? Well the beach was fun and wish I could be there right now.

What a fun trip, it looks fabulous! Congrats to Chris on 2nd place with the poster. Do you guys know where you are heading for fellowship yet? Good luck, that is exciting, but another big change. Sometimes I wonder if this medical training ever ends! You look amazing by the way, any tips you'd like to share, I would love to hear!

Rachel,
I want to say UCLA is about 1 1/2 hours away, maybe less. But could be more with traffic. We live in Lake Elsinore, which is in Riverside county. I love where we live. It is super affordable now that the housing market has crashed, cheaper than Utah. And Disneyland is only 45 minutes away. Newport beach is 50 minutes to an hour away. There are tons of young families out here. Our nursery is busting at the seams and there are at least 6 or more women pregnant at one time. I don't know if that is too long of a commute for Chris. But its very family oriented out here. We love it, its the best ward we have ever been in and I would hate to ever leave it. Feel free to contact us if he does end up going there. It was great to hear from you.
